On September 25, 2020, Oregon OSHA issued a statement that it intends to adopt the Draft COVID-19 Temporary Standard later this week, with an effective date of October 12, 2020.
Oregon OSHA also developed an Overview Table of the COVID-19 Temporary Standard. Among other things, the Temporary Standard addresses issues relating to workplace exposure assessments, social distancing, face coverings, cleaning protocols, workplace testing, infection notification processes, employee information and training, industry-specific guidance, and posting requirements.
**CLI is in the process of reviewing the Oregon COVID-19 Temporary Standard. A summary of the Temporary Standard will be posted on CLI’s website, and the training materials will be updated, as needed, on or before October 12, 2020, when the Temporary Standard becomes effective.
