Clear Law Institute provides compliant and current Covid-19 Safe Workplace training. On November 19, 2020, New Hampshire Governor Sununu issued Emergency Order #74 requiring all individuals to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when in a public space, whether indoor or outdoor, when they are not able to or do not consistently maintain at least six (6) feet from others.

The Order also outlines specific definitions and exceptions for the face covering mandate. The Order took effect on November 20, 2020.

Washington COVID-19 Safe Workplace Training Update

Our training complies with CDC and OSHA guidelines and the growing number of states mandating COVID-19 workplace safety training. Our Compliance Advisory Team regularly monitors federal and state authorities and updates the training, as needed. 

On November 15, 2020, Washington Governor Inslee issued Proclamation 20-25.8, which, among other things, requires “employers to comply with all conditions for operation required by the state Department of Labor & Industries, including interpretive guidance, regulations and rules such as WAC 296-800-14035, and Department of Labor & Industries- administered statutes.”

The Prolamation also mandates capacity limits and other workplace safety measures for several industries, including professional services and in-store retail.

The Governor also issued updated reopening guidance for several industries consistent with the Proclamation.

The Proclamation took effect on November 17, 2020.

California COVID-19 Safe Workplace Training Update

Our Compliance Advisory Team regularly monitors federal and state authorities and updates the training, as needed. 

On November 13, 2020, the Cal/OSHA Standards Board published proposed emergency regulations to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.

On November 19, 2020, the Board meets to vote on whether to adopt the proposed emergency regulations. 

If the emergency regulations are adopted, they will proceed to the Office of Administrative Law, and could become effective as early as the end of November.

Iowa COVID-19 Safe Workplace Training Update

On November 10, 2020, Governor Reynolds issued a Proclamation of Disaster Emergency, requiring Iowa businesses open with in-person operations to take all reasonable precautions to ensure employee health, including appropriate employee screening, social distancing practices, and increased cleaning and hygiene practices. 

The Proclamation also addresses a number of other industry-specific mandates.

Nebraska COVID-19 Safe Workplace Training Update

Our Compliance Advisory Team regularly monitors federal and state authorities and updates the training, as needed.

On November 9, 2020, Governor Ricketts announced new Directed Health Measures (DHM), which took effect on November 11, 2020.

The new DHM requires face coverings in any Nebraska indoor business when employees are within six (6) feet of others for 15 consecutive minutes or more.

The new DHM also addresses capacity limits and industry-specific mandates.

Ohio COVID-19 Safe Workplace Training Update

COVID-19 SAFE WORKPLACE TRAINING

Our training complies with CDC and OSHA guidelines and the growing number of states mandating COVID-19 workplace safety training. Our Compliance Advisory Team regularly monitors federal and state authorities and updates the training, as needed.  

On November 13, 2020, the Ohio Department of Health issued the Director’s Order for Retail and Business Compliance for Facial Coverings. The Order takes effect on November 16, 2020.

Among other things, the Order requires:

  • all persons to wear a face covering at all times when on or in retail premises (the Director’s Order for Facial Coverings, signed on July 23, 2020, continues to remain in effect);

  • retail employers to (1) place hand sanitizers in high contact locations; (2) require regular hand washing by employees; (3) require employees to stay home if symptomatic; and (4) disinfect high touch items after each use; and

  • businesses to designate an on-site compliance officer for each business location and each shift during business hours to ensure compliance with the Order.
